Gardaland: The Amusement Park in Italy

In the Italian province of Verona, Castelnuovo del Garda in Italy, Gardaland is one of the most popular amusement parks in Europe. Located on the shores of Lake Garda, on the banks of the Alps and the name comes from this lake.

The park, which is in charge of Merlin Entertainments was inaugurated in July 1975 and since then has continued to grow both in size and visitors, currently receiving over three million a year.

Gardaland is divided into five themes: Fantasy Kingdom, Area Medioevale, Villaggio Inglese, Arabo Souk and Rio Bravo. The areas are referred to jousting, pirates of the sea, Egypt and its pharaohs and duels in the Old West. Read the rest of this entry »
