Puccini’s Tosca

Only a glimpse of the landscapes of Lake Massaciuccoli and its surroundings in the town of Torre del Lago, Tuscany, in order to understand where the artist got the inspiration for Giacomo Puccini composed his operas.

The Italian composer ever wrote to his friend Forzano: “I always come here, take a boat and I’m going to shoot snipe. But sometimes I like to come here and listen to one of my operas in the open air. ”

Forzano gave life to the wishes of his friend in the year 1930 when he organized the first outdoor Festival Puccini, which is one of the most important in Italy, which was commissioned to celebrate not only the operas of Puccini, but the beautiful landscapes that inspired him.
